My Favorite Writing Podcast
If you write fiction of any kind, you could do worse than to listen to the Writing Excuses podcast. It's a weekly 15 minute long (approximately) class on how to write better fiction. Each episode is, in their words, "15 minutes long, because you're in a hurry, and we're not that smart".
They lie.
The participants are all professional writers, and know exactly what they're talking about. There are four regular contributors:
- Brandon Sanderson, author of The Way of Kings, the Mistborn series, and the man that Robert Jordan's wife picked to finish the Wheel of Time series.
- Mary Robinette Kowal, author of Glamour in Glass, Shades of Milk and Honey, and too many short stories to mention.
- Howard Tayler, author and artist of the webcomic Schlock Mercenary.
- and Dan Wells, author of the horror books I Am Not A Serial Killer and Partials.
